GLT-1c immunocytochemistry

GLT-1c is a newly described splice variant. In these images GLT-1c immunoreactivity is associated with the synaptic terminals of phortoreceptors in rats (A-D) and humans (E,F). A is control, B is a developing retina, C is a thick section and D is a thin section showing strong labelling of photoreceptor terminals. Similar labelling is evident in humans. Comparison of GLT-1c labelling (green) and GLT-1v labelling (lilac) illustrates the relative pre and postsynaptic distributions of these two splicings.
