GLAST splice variants: two recent papers from our lab have described the distributions of the exon 3 and exon 9 skipping forms of GLAST in the CNS. Both have distinctive distributions. Curiously the exon 9 skipping form of GLAST which we have dubbed GLAST1b, is expressed by populations of neurons. Link to GLAST1a paper abstract GLAST1b paper link will be here soon!
